I just bought a Golden Tube Audio SE 40 in 9/10 condition from Echo Audio in Portland Oregon.This Class A zero feedback single ended tube amplifier sounds very sweet and has what i would describe as a Liquid midrange. the tech at Echo Audio replaced the power switch and tested this amp and said that it specs perfectly.it sounds very nice indeed.Sonicraft just released a new REL+ mod kit for the SE40 last month and i will mod this one first and maybe get a second one and mod it and run them as a pair of 80 wpc class A monoblocks.thanks....WCW III

Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about. GTA gear are awesome. Before mono blocking, see if you can find the matching SEP-1 pre. I'm using a modded one right now. It's pretty much a mini SET amp with output transformers. Very liquid sounding.
There are quite a few mods out there, but probably better to enjoy the stock sound first:). Makes you appreciate the mods a lot more if you like the end result.
