Hi I was wondering what company out there makes the best speaker wire for around $10 per foot? I have monster Z series I believe with pre terminated banana plugs, and I am debating getting some new wires with shorter lengths possibly, thanks.

Sorry about the mistake in the title, no way to edit it apparently

will they outperform the overpriced monster Z1 cables I have? Those 10 gauge wires sound interesting.

On the Canare 4S11 Cable I see it has 4 wires, is that only if I bi wire my speakers say with an AVR and an amplifier? Or is there a way to make it work with just my AVR?

To biwire them you can twist two matching leads together at the AVR end and wire the other end to each set of binding posts.
You could also twist the two matching leads together at both ends and insert them both into a banana plug or spade. This is like having a single larger wire, with the ability to biwire/biamp in the future. I myself would just go for the bluejeanscable 10 ga wire. I had monstercable with a "center core shielding" that was the same diameter as the BJC wire. The BJC not only vastly improved the bass response, but smoothed out the highs and mids as well. The lows no longer roll off as much, the mids seem more crisp....I can't say enough about the stuff. I was not a believer in cables until I started reading on here. The bjc wire will get me through a couple of years until I save up some more money.I gave the MC to my sister because she is just starting out and wanted to improve over the "box cable".

I use this BJ Cable and am very happy with it.

BJC Ten White (5T00UP) (White jacket, 10 AWG)
(max. cable length that will fit flat-rate box: 200 feet) 0.99/ft

FYI, it's pretty stiff and somewhat difficult to work with.
