Me?

I usually resolve not to make any resolutions. It's been working well for me so far.

What about you?

Resolutions so often fail that it seems like they're more of a negative thing than a positive.

If you wanna improve your life, do it on your own terms and your own timeline, not on some arbitrary date.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Last year I lost about 30-35 lbs, I would like to drop an additional 20-25 lbs this year. I also want to bench press 315 lbs. I plan to do push ups everyday (everynight while watching TV) along with lifting at the gym twice a week. Let's see how long I can keep this up...

clap clap clap for fireman32, man you quit smoking and kept it up? nice work, i bet your family appreciates the change you made.

BTW I am NOT doing push-ups the entire time I watch TV but I am going to knock out 100 or so each time I sit down at night to watch the toob. last night it was 90 total 15 at a time. I feel sore today but I was already a little sore from lifting on new years eve.

Cutting back on spending. Watching my budget very closely. Cutting back on the beer drinking (ties to spending), and improving my health (ties to cutting back beer). All actionable goals. Really, all I have to do is cut back the drinking, and that kicks off the other two. Obviously, that's not all I have to do, but it at least gives me some place to start.

And in 30 years, what's left of my liver will thank me.

was curious, since we're in a new year... just how much I've spent last year in beer alone.

This does NOT count the amount of cash I've spent at the brewery or elsewhere... this is just records on paper from my debit acct of beer bought at one of several local distributers.

    The number is... $1,500.69.

Factor in at LEAST between $500 and $1000 spent in cash... we're now up to $2,500-$3,000 in BEER.

Yeah, lets stick to this resolution.

I was driving home tonight and I look over at one of the strip malls. PACKED with cars....I'm wondering what's up, oh...it's the Snap Fitness joint that's normally empty 11 months out of the year at this hour.

    Funny stuff.

I applaud anyone who sticks to it, but I couldn't help but laugh at all those who won't.

I make the same statement bobman made every year. He's right on. If you really want to do something, do it right then and there.

Last year, I said I wanted to lose some weight... and get the six pack back... as of today, I have lost about 40lbs and the six back is showing back up :)

This year, I have decided to get ripped... see.. I don't like to put too many regulations on it, because ripped in my mind, is well.. maybe less ripped in other people's minds :D

I also joined a martial arts school in 09, and have been loving that. Hard Core stuff. Chuck Norris' #1 student is my teacher!

So this year, I resolve to only get my **** kicked most of the time when I spar with him, instead of ALL the time... :D
