Noob question .....

Pre/pro is Pre-amp/processor , correct ?

It's been a very long time since I followed audio happenings .... a preamp was a preamp back then.:rolleyes:
Trying to catch up .....
Plasma : Panny 54G25
Receiver : antique Sony :mad:
BD/DVD/CD : OPPO BDP 93
Fronts : Polk Monitor 10B
Center : CSi5
no rears yet , no sub ... Looking at RTia3's first then 9's and a NAD T 747 ... maybe

    That is correct Hoosier, you would have to add an amplifier for power to drive the speakers. Welcome to Club Polk!

    It's been a very long time since I followed audio happenings .... a preamp was a preamp back then.

    Generally speaking, a pre-amp is used in a 2 channel music system and has the usual functions, while a pre/pro is generally used in a Home Theater system. The processor refers to the ability to manipulate the movie audio, but you can certainly do this to music if so inclined.
