This might sound stupid but my McIntosh 2105 amp has different taps on the back for different ohm's. Right now I have them on the 8. would it make a difference if i put them on the 4? I am running SDA 1.2 on them ( non TL)

Thanks b

That is what I was wondering if it might make it a little tighter. I will give it a shot tonight.

What is their nominal impedance? 6ohms and below you should be using the 4ohm taps.

I have to get some new spade connectors before I can do this. One of my big beefs is the strip terminal for speakers. THe ones I have actually touch the ground if i put it on the 4 ohm tap since they are next to each other. ( they are a adapter that is big and lets you put a bananas to spade) I will get back on the difference after i get some new spades.

Signal Cable can make you speaker cables with small spades that fit Mac's barrier strips.

Face, thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking of changeing speaker calbes anyway this would give me more of a reason. I did not know they had a smaller spade. Perfect!! I was actually looking at bluejeanscable but I amnot sure on the spade size, they do look big. for Signal cable, i am thinking of trying the ultra. Something middle of the road. Both are close in price.
