Welcome to Club Polk LsiWill! I suggest you do a search here on the forum for the power requirements needed to drive your fine speakers to their full potential, and start saving more money for future purchases. In the meantime please watch the volume on your Onkyo 607.

Welcome to the club Will, its about time you jumped on the Polk bandwagon. For the record, he stole those LSi's for $550, they're perfect. We're going to look at some Carver amps to drive them today. I can't wait to hear them myself, I've never even seen LSi's before. Enjoy this forum Will, there's a lot of great information and great people here.

We were close to that this morning. I woke up and it was 19.1 degrees outside. It hardly EVER gets that cold down here. We are going to be looking forward to this type of weather for another two weeks as well......36 as a high? Gimme a break! I might have to move further south 'cause this type of cold is definitely not for me

welcome aboard. Now let's cut through the bs...haha. We need to get you a new receiver with preouts, a real amplifier to drive those beautiful towers, and for the love of audio, sell the am15!!! That will help fund the project for sure. It's a long process but believe us when we say, it's worth it!!

And it's colder here in KS right now. 9 degrees, feels like -4. NYE, I was snowboarding and it was -1 when I left. No idea of the wind chill but it went through your bones. Yesterday I got to work and it was -1 too. Get over it! LOL it's not as bad as it could be.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm getting ready to look at a pair of Carver amps to power the LSi's. It's a pair of TFM-15's. What does everyone think of those? I was going to do one amp on each tower. I would like to sell the AM15, but my Dad got it for me when I graduated from college, so it's just kind of a sentimental thing. But the Onkyo is for the AM15 for a bedroom set up. So don't worry I'll definitly be getting a new receiver for the towers. I'm excited to get started adding more. I'm already looking into new receivers and I'd like to get an LSi C.
And like Dom said it's a beautiful 54 here in South FL. But I wish it could get colder, I've never seen snow so that would be a treat.

Lsiwill, I've had a pair of TFM-15CB's before and they sounded great. That said, I can't for the life of me remember if they can handle a 4 ohm load or not. I was running them with an 8 ohm load with no issues. They have a very warm, sweet sound to them....musical, if you will.

    Treitz3, still freezing....
