I need help choosing a sub. I have been thinking about a psw1000 or micro pro 4000. I watch lots of movies and play lots of video games. I have 7.1 rti/csi/fxi. I had an Atlantic Technology 150w 8" sub, but it had too much rattle. Please give your opinion.

    Micro Pro. Tight controlled bass.
    Welcome to CP.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

If it's in yor budget you can get a far better sub than those two above, checkout the AV123 MFW, SVS and the Elemental Designs. I got the SVS.

Great professional shootout test of subs in the link below -

    Welcome to Club Polk!

There are lots of options for better subs than what you currently have but if I were to choose between the two Polk subs you mention...certainly the 4000 would win.

It would also be useful to know how big your room is. In a small to medium-large room the 4000 will not disappoint. And as Ben says it's ALSO musical which cannot be said about many subs in its category by the big boys!
