That's the Polish-American String Band with their "Joker's Delight" theme in the 2010 Mummer's Parade.

It's quintessential Mummer's and totally freaking awesome!

If your TV doesn't at least have the parade on all day on New Years Day then you suck. The parade starts at 8AM and goes until 5PM, sometimes later.

Yeah, you can keep the Tournament of Roses Parade.

If you don't know what The Mummers are, here:

It's a tradition that dates back about 400 years to the mid 1600's. That and the after party of Two Street (2nd Street) where all the string band halls are is something to be had! Better than Mardi Gras or Carnivale! At least I think so.

It ain't what it used to be but still good. I never missed a mummer parade at Broad & Tasker until the past two years. My wife's family lives a Broad & Dickenson. Our two families always had good eats, and good booze to warm you up after every couple of hours standing in the cold. My family tradition was to put a green carpet on the sidewalk to keep your feet warm and line up a load of varies bottles of boozse and place a bar-b-que on the sidewalk and make hot dogs. The old timers that used to do that have died off and there isn't much happening at Broad & Tasker anymore.
