Bose 141 Series II, are these new or old?
Saw them at a Bose store. I know lots of people like/hate Bose. I enjoy there stuff for casual listening, and space saving. I saw these for $99 at a Bose store, and can't find any info on them. Are they brand new versions, or ancient stuff? For $99 I may try them in my room for speakers for music at my computer for internet radio or something. Let me know what you know?

I'd advise you duck, quickly.
Those the ones? If so, I actually have a pair in my closet. They were nice for starter speakers. Can't remember what I paid for them. I got them about 6-7 years ago. -
I was interested because they are full range, small and cheap. And hopefully just sort of a fun $99 purchase. I don't really need them at all, but every so often I enjoy getting new speakers haha.

A more satisfying experiment would be some Polk Monitor 30's.
Cheaper ( $92.87 ) and definitely sweeeeeter.

No, run away and spend the Hundred on something not made by Bose. Their bookshelves are terrible. I traded my 301's to a neighbor for a set of Phillips shelf system speakers that I gave him earilier in the day because even they sounded better than the Bose. Check your local Craigslist, there is usually something nice in that price range. 6th ave electronics has Paradigm Cinema's for 99 dollars a pair, and as low as 79 dollars on sale which will make the Bose sound like bricks.
