help with mon 70s

first off happy early new year. I just got a 3ch amp for christmas. i had my mon 70s bi-wired off of my marantz receiver for a couple of weeks off of the surround back. when i went to hook up the amp i put he stock jumpers back on and i am only getting the highs or lows depending on which posts upper or lower i use changed speaker wires, tried running off the marantz only and the same thing on both speakers, only high or lows dont know what else to do the speakers are less than 6 months old please help:confused:

    Jumpers are in wrong. Only explaination.

    Make double sure that the wires are touching the jumpers and that ALL FOUR BINDING POSTS--FOUR ARE SCREWED DOWN AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE SO THAT THE JUMPERS ARE FLUSH ON THE SPEKER TERMINAL.

    A loose jumper will often cause that.

    Ditto on the jumpers. Make your own out of some speaker wire if the other ones are not making a good connection. My 70's were a little loose on one speaker post, and I had to kind of jiggle them around a little to get a good hook up.
