Am I missing something...

Polk's ebay store at the beginning of December / end of November had black RTi8s on auction mode, starting at $200, most didn't get above $215.

Is there a reason why they are running cherry speakers at $200 auction, and all black speakers at $370 buy it now? (With none sold recently.)

Anyone have the inside scoop on Polk's pricing scheme?

    I'd send them a message and ask them. I have a set of black RTi8s and am very pleased with them!

    It's not a scheme and it depends on available stock and a whole host of other factors.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Lol. When you italicize scheme you make it sound all sinister. Perhaps I should have used the word "strategy." And obviously it has to do with "a host of other factors." just seems strange from an outsider's perspective.

    They have sold 5 black RTi8 pairs in the last 5 days at the BIN price. Their strategy must be working. :D

    Seriously, they must know that black speakers are in higher demand than cherry.
