^ Yes, I agree... I upgraded from a CS245i last year and it made a huge night/day difference. Now, I've completely upgraded all my 5 speakers to another brand since the wife gave me the go signal to burn a little bit of cash for the living room setup.

I'll post a pic tonight when I get home.

I am also looking for this speaker but I am struggling as I am hoping for cherry color. By the way, I dont intend to undermine the sale here, but bay area Frys stores have black CSI5 for 200 dollars.

Stop thread crapping, if you want to say something about price and you not thinking its fair then PM The guy, oh wait your amazing 2 post or whatever wouldn't allow you to, then try this, shut up and let the man sell what he's got to sell and stay the hell out of it. Also try reading the rules before you acutally post something, makes peoples lives better.

I had no intentions of crapping of killing the thread. I do apologize. In fact I would have bought this at the said price had it been in cherry color. That was my point. But your language is also unwarranted.

I'm actually selling it for only $175 (if picked up locally), and I just checked Frys.com, they have it listed for $399. Maybe the one you saw was a returned/open/demo item? This CSi-5 is practically close to brand-new condition... never played it loud, no scratches, first-owner, mint!

Checked Ebay too, there's nothing I can find (used or new) that's cheaper.

By the way, I'm also interested to swap for a used 2 or 3 channel power amp (of similar value), something that can dish out 200w/channel @ 4 ohms :-)

So your upgrading to some new stuff. Since your going up from a csi5 you must be spending some dough. I am interested in what you are getting and how it stacks up against your old stuff.

    ^ Hi Royalty

Yes, My new living room HT setup is this:

Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR806 THX-Ultra2 130W/c Receiver 7.1 (used this with the Polks for a year)
    L/C/R: Martin Logan Preface floorspeakers
side surrounds: Wharfedale Diamond bipolar speakers
rear surrounds: Wharfedale Diamond bipolar speakers (not yet installed)
Sub: Velodyne DFS-12 (4 years old)

The MLs bought them from Bestbuy and now on their 2nd week, the Wharfedales online and just arrived yesterday. So far, loving the new setup.

If I could get someone to buy my CSi-3, I'd probably take you up on this. I'd like to upgrade my center before they disappear completely....

You should audition the ML Preface at any Magnolia/BB showroom and compare them to similarly priced speakers. I was already impressed with how they sounded last year, but decided to wait for discount pricing. Now, they are clearing them at $499 each ($749 msrp). I got the last 3 they had on stock and qualified for 36 months zero interest (that got me sold). Wharfedale surrounds are Diamond-8 DFS, which were cleared out by WildWest Electronics, at only $79/pair ($299 msrp). I think I got the last 2 pairs as they are no longer available. They came in yesterday and I already have the first pair mounted up and running. Tried out the pod-racing scene from SW ep1, and was blown away by what a pair of decent bi-polar surrounds can do for HT.

Yeah, the CSi-5 was certainly the best center speaker I've used... had a CS245i before it and difference was night/day. These were paired with RT800 towers. Polks are great speakers for the price. I didn't thought of upgrading since I was happy with the Polk setup... but a few weeks ago, we were over at one of my wife's close friends place. Her husband is into HT also, and recently bought a Monitor Audio RX 5.1 set. My wife is not into this thing, but she was equally impressed as I did. So she gave me the go-signal to upgrade our setup (with a limited budget LOL). So that's how ended up with the Logans/Wharfedales.

The RT800s sold quick, hopefully the CSI-5 will follow and go to a good home too.

Buy it. I upgraded from a CSI3 to a CSI5 to better match my Rti12's and I am very happy I did. If you have the room for this center I would buy it. They are getting harder to find.;)

Hi, it still is, but it's posted on ebay and there is already a bid on it, so I won't be able to retract it. Just look for it there if you are interested and GL if you want to bid. Thanks for looking.
