Transporting SDA SRS2's

Hey guys!
I am moving across country sometime next year and I have a pristine pair of SDA SRS2s I will need to move. I probably will be using a moving company. Does anyone have any idea what the best way to "prepare" them for shipment is?
Obviously I do not have the original cartons.

If someone else is moving I would remove the drivers, box them up and put something around the end caps so they won't get scratched.
When I moved my sda's I used blankets and straps. -
Just give them to me I will take care of them for you! All kidding aside I agree with leroy on this one you can never be too careful espically when you are moving across country. Good luck with the move.

no need to remove the drivers. Just make certain they are laying on their backs and boxed with at least 2 to 3 inches of foam sheeting all the way aroundThe Gear... No moving company is going to have boxes that size, so unless you simply want them blanket wrapped (not recommended) you will have to pay them extra to build wood crates for the speakers. Following nooshinjohn's suggestion about foam sheeting, which you will have to provide, make sure they build the crates with that in mind. You will also have to make sure that they mark the crates so that the speakers are always laying on their backs.Political Correctness'.........defined

. . . I would remove the drivers . . .
I would do this too. It won't take long and is cheap insurance.
The magnet glue in your MW6509's is now 23-24yrs. old and you risk magnet shift unless you move them yourself or have the most careful movers on the planet.
Original MW6509's seem to be scarcer than in the past and I don't know if Polk still has replacements, but I've auditioned both in my SDA SRS 2's and the new ones were not quite as responsive as the originals.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S
