Price seems a bit high for an RTA...but I haven't checked around.

I'm in Kansas City but will be in Minneapolis tomorrow...it is a mini-vacation (native state) and am picking up some very nice 5s and a big-**** Denon HTR....doubt that I would also have room to bring these home...some guy in Minneapolis had some 12 RTAs a couple weeks for $245.

That seems high to me as well. I know the 15TL's get some fanfare around here and are second only to higher end SDA's according to what I've read here. I own a pair of (underpowered) RTA 11TL's and count myself lucky for never hearing a better speaker.
I love these, and some on here say that the 15TL's are a much better monster of a speaker.

But I think you could grab some SDA 1C's or better for that price.

? Harmon Kardon AVR 55 (dead; replacing with Onkyo TX NR-616)
? Polk RTA 11TL's (FR and FL)
? Polk TSi200's (RR and RL)
    ? Polk CS10 (Center)
    ? Polk PSW-350
    ? Grado SR-60i Headphones
    ? Fii0 E5 headphone amp
    ? iPod touch (8 gig)
    ? iPod Classic (80 gig)
? Mac Mini (as media server)
    ? xbox 360

I 2nd or 5th the comments that the price is a bit high.
Is it me or does the tweeters look 'wrong', as in almost square as opposed to recangular?
Maybe it is just the quality of the CL pic...

And these should have the SL3000's, which have a silver or golden silver dome?????
Or RDO-198's IF they were upgraded...

    You're probably drunk, partner.
The 15TL are one of the most beautiful speakers ever made.

I paid $1,400 for them back in 1989 and I am consider myself the luckiest guy for owning them. Freaking great speakers!

I snagged a pair of these when I was overseas in Japan in 91'. I think they are a great pair of speakers. The asking price is a bit high, $250 is probably a fair high end asking price. IMHO
