to set up a 7.1 or 5.1 Home Theatre system
I am considering the following speakers for 7.1 or 5.1 system to build in my living room (25X20 size room) and am not sure whether this set up works as intended or not..pls advise...
Amp - Denon AVR 890
Speakers - Polk TSi100 for front and rear ( 2 each)
TSi CS 10 for Center
Polk DSW Pro 400 sub
also, considering ...OWM3 for rear 7.1 channel
Pls let me know if this gives the best set up or should consider tweaking any of the above with a different model....I dont want to touch LS series as they are damn expensive and throws me out of budget....
Thanks for your time and efforts and highly appreciate your inputs.

Tough one...... I think too many people jump into 7.1 thinking it is way better than 5.1. The fact is..if you put your money into a 5.1 system and set it up right.....normally it will outdo a 7.1 that was pieced together. Sine you already have your speakers though....set it up and listen. Compare the 2. You can easily go into your receivers menu and turn the rear centers in the 7.1 off so you can audition them.
With all of that said...that's a pretty big room......a couple of extra speakers wont hurt :-)!!!Onkyo TX-NR809

If you haven't bought yet, I would suggest the RTi series. If you look around you can find them very cheap. They will definitely rock you for HT. See if you can find a pair Rti8s, CSi5, and some rears for cheap. Check out Polk's ebay store too.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

You may want to try out the new 7.1 formats with front heights or front wides. IMHO, they are a lot better than 5.1My current HT 7.1 Setup:
Fronts: Polk SDA CRS+ (4.1TL)
Center: Polk CS2
Front Heights: Polk R15
Surrounds: Polk RC80i
Sub: Polk DSW MicroPro 3000
Projector: Optoma HD72 w/ 100" screen
Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR707
HTPC: Vista Ultimate
BluRay/Game: PS3 -

I am planning to buy only from internet as brick and mortar stores can't beat internet pricing ...also thinking about $1000 budget for speakers and planning to buy before Jan 09th as Polk is currently running an offer to throw sub at a discounted price.
I am not partial to look at TSi series but looking at speakers perfect for wall mount...no floor standing speakers...so, if I go with Monitor 30 for surround, what will be good for front, center and sub (all wall mount except sub)
