Old bike ride

Today it was around 55 degrees and sunshine so I called my son up to see if he wanted to ride bikes. I had let him take my Trek home with him so that left me with my 39 year old Raleigh Superbe.
Cleaned and oiled her up and took off. We rode for about 12 miles on the bike trail for most of the afternoon. He's 21 and I'm 55. Had to stop and let him rest a couple of times.;) Went out to eat afterwards. Those Brits sure knew how to build bikes back then. Classic old bike.

Sounds like a real fun time. I need to get back on mine somethin' bad.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I too have a Superbe from 1972!
I restored a green men's version and pieced together a matching women's version for my wife. Not to long ago I found the aluminum pump on ebay - I still need one for the wifes........but I love the generator hub and the fenders - and the lugged frame.......Great Bikes!
