Hey ya'll, this is my first post so thank you in advance to anyone that can help my with my problem!
I work in the bahamas on a small island and our police chief recently asked if there was any way to find him a Onkyo series m-5150 power amp for his home audio system. I checked e-bay and a few other sites to no avail. Is there any way I could use a m-5140? I saw one on ebay and wondered if this would work instead. I'm planning on having it shipped to Florida and just picking it up next time I get off the island. Thank you
Evan

It'll work, but the M5150 is a bit of a step up. The M5140 is 105wpc, which it does pretty well, the M5150 has noticeably more "****" to it.

There's an M5150 on ebay right now i think.

There's also an M501 or two. Those would be better than the M5140. Little older than the M5150, but the same power ratings, and actually has binding posts rather than the spring clips.

But if he's dead set on an M5150, let me know. I have one. 7/10 cosmetically, 15/10 (:p) functionally. It's WAY more powerful than the 150wpc would suggest. I wasn't looking to get rid of it quite yet, but open to offers.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
