I have 2 60's and 2 50's and am wondering if RM8 center will work. Reason for it is I have a big cabinet with a small opening and the RM8 will fit. I also have a PIONEER vsx1019 to power it. I have not had time to hook up.

What about the CS1? It's not as good as the center I would like to recommend to you (CS2) but if space is an issue the CS2 is not going to be an option for you as it is a beast. If not I would imagine that the RM8 would work? Welcome to Club Polk.

I say find a way to mount a good center speaker. Do not compromise the quality on this, it is the most important speaker in an HT setup. Can't you make a wall-mounted stand to place it in or something?

The RM8 would work, but it will have a hard time keeping up with the other speakers in your HT. You will have a hard time hearing the dialogue and voices when you are watching movies. You could just turn the center up and the rest of your speakers down, although I wouldn't recommend it. IMO, try to find a way to use a better center, or find a new cabinet that'll fit a CS1 or CS2. Good luck and welcome to CP.
