Where do they stack up in the amp world now?
I don`t compete or am I looking for that perfect sound stage.
I need a solid quality, reliable amp.

Pioneer GM-D8400M 300x1 4 ohm, 600 x1 2 ohm.

PIONEER GM6400F 60x 4 4 ohm.

I got these cheap off Ebay.

I gave up on the 5-channel amp idea for the truck.

I,m moving the PDX-5 75x4-300x1 to the Trans Am , selling the 5 channel Hifonics Zues 55x4-200x1.
The Polk MM series 5.25 front and 6x9 rear and the new 12 MM will really like the Alpine power .
The HU for the TA is Alpine 9833.

Theyre decent. They arent the best in the world but they get the job done. Pretty solid build and should make their rated power.

Thanx for the money it was tough to beat, the reviews I found on the net were all very good too.
Most reviews were do by enthusiast, not competitors.

Yeah, competitors like expensive amps. Higher price tags sound better. ;)

I never will use pioneer amps and certainly will not use there head units. To many problems with there head units and there amps are poor.

It appears Pioneer has fell from grace in the audio world Crutchfield still sells them.
The items I bought are not their Premier line.

Are they still above Jensen,Legacy,Sparkomatic,Boss,Powercoustic, radioshack, flea market crap.

I hope this is not an expensive lesson.

For sure yes. Any amp that puts out rated clean power is fine. this is something mac taught and I have verified it with my ears. The Audison or the Genesis amps don't make my sr's sound better than my polk 500.4. They just play louder cause both the amps put out more power.

hu's and speakers are more important.
