Anyone remember Damn Yankees' "High Enough"?

Another one of my guilty pleasures.... :D

First, the original studio version (with Ted Nugent, of course)

Now, a recent 2009 acoustic version by Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades (sorry, no Ted Nugent on this one)

I remember watching the video to that song. Found it kinda funny a power ballad would have a shootout scene in it. Only with the Motor City Madman.

DY were great. I've got both their CD's and saw them a couple times live. If you're a fan, a couple of post DY disc's to check out. Shaw/Blades, and a solo disc by Tommy called My Hallucination that featured Jack on a few tracks. Tasty stuff.

I was surprised how good Shaw/Blades sounded on the acoustic version of "High Enough". Is their CD an acoustic album? I heard they're recording a second Shaw/Blades already.

No, it's not acoustic. Has some rockers, some with a little country feel. Great disc.

At Deer Creek ( out door venue near INDY ) Saw firehouse , Poison and Dam Yankees. This was when Poison just dumped C.C. DeVille. For my personal taste , they stole the show. DY was good but uncle Ted's look at me attitude put a slight dampner on it.I heard Ted in Kalamazoo MI ( when he was into shooting flaming arrows into speakers ) My ears rang for 3 days! LOL
