Single LSi9 Ebony, Alchemy Audio

Well, with a little one in the house and my wife getting ready to quit her job to stay at home I need to sell a bunch of stuff to get a bigger security nest just in case anything happens to good old Dad.

I have a single LSi9 I purchased to use as a center a few years ago and never used it, ever. It has literally been boxed up since I bought it and I never got around to using it. The condition is an 8/10 with some very minor scratches that are barely noticeable and there's no grille with it. When I bought it the seller didn't have it and I didn't care.

I will take pictures tomorrow outside so you can see it better if there's interest. I'm asking $200 + shipping. Local pickup is fine and I'm located in Columbus, OH.

I also have an Audio Alchemy Digital Drive System 3 CD player and the Digital Decoding Engine v1.1 DAC, with the high current power supply. These are two fine pieces of equipment (plus the upgraded power supply) and will literally take your listening experience to the next level. The CD player powers up but needs a new ribbon cable to fix the "No Disc" error. It will take the CD but it won't recognize it. This is a very common problem with these CD players and a simple cable replacement will fix it. I have no time to do the repair but figured someone else will. This CD player was $700 new when it came out. It's in great cosmetic shape aside from the light scratch on the front left.

I'm asking $225 plus shipping.

Here's the CD player without a remote (I don't have it either) that just sold for $230 with shipping:

And here's a picture of the bundle I'm selling.

    Hmmm . . . Somehow I thought this was Mazeroth's For Sale thread . . .

It is. I thought if someone wanted to split the sale with me( me- dac, them- cdp) we could get this sold for Maz. This isn't ok?

    Pictures of the LSi9?

I'm wondering how minor the scratches to see if I could hide it. Thanks.

That part I'm not sure about.

I did a ton of research after I PM'd interest. I found dozens of threads praising this system and a few comments that the flat ribbon cables sometimes go bad, but no information about where to get the replacement part.

inspired, I sent bigaudiofanatic links to three places that sell that cable. All have it for under $20.

I finally got time to take some pictures of the LSi9 I have for sale. The blemishes are minimal. The one picture of the glossy top shows how the top and bottom look if you catch them at the right angle. There are very fine "scuffs" that you really need to look for in order to see them. These aren't marks that can be felt with your fingers and I bet could be completely eliminated with a light rubbing with a rubbing compound. Honestly, they're barely noticeable and I wouldn't even bother. I opened up the curtains to let as much natural light in as I could to show it in the pictures. The white spots on this picture is just dust. The front is practically flawless to my eyes.

    4226243245_64124b1cac_b.jpg

No matter what I did I couldn't get it to focus on the piano finish to show the scuffs. If I got far enough away to take a picture showing the whole top you couldn't even see the scuff marks. Yes, they are THAT LIGHT! :D

    Hello,

If you still have the single ebony LSi 9 for sale I'm interested.

I sorta ended up with one back speaker myself due to the fact one of the speakers was shipped DOA and I haven't had an opportunity to purchase just one speaker. My postal code in Canada is T2B 3H3 if you need to figure out shipping costs. If you dont' want to ship to Canada I understand.

    Anyway, let me know
    thanks,

    Mazeroth,

Do you still have this for sale? If so, do you know if the side panels are easily removable? I know they were on the original 9's, but I dont know about the newer style. I'd be using it as a center also and would most likely remove the side panels.

Sorry, I would rather not ship outside the US.

    huggies,

I haven't a clue how difficult the side panels are to remove.
