These tables seem pretty awesome. I've been trying for two weeks to find a way to qualify the purchase of the T-60 model but haven't quite figured it out yet...

Edit: The T-60 is the middle pic.

    A better job maybe? :o

Really though, its expensive but yet costs nothing compared to its competition. I guess it could be called a best bang for the buck in the really high end arena. I keep looking and thinking, then I think about the economy and the thrill leaves me.

No, I haven't heard one but someone I trust who sells them put one together and says it should cost ten times more. Perfectly quiet, dual motors, magnetic suspension bearing, 150 lbs, absolutely dead quiet on recordings.

I would love to get my ears on it. What's the damage price-wise on that gem.

Yeah, but things are looking better now than it was a few years back.
I want to open my own business in the next 5 years or so and I get the same feeling as you when I think about the economy. Let's hope things pick up faster in 2010.

The T-60 which I'm wanting goes for $6200. The one below it is $4600 I believe. A Michell like I have now sells new for around $6K making the T-60 look like a real deal if you were comparing the two. Mine is no slouch but this thing really looks awesome!

Yeah, seriously. This is the same thing the guy who set one up said about it but he was thinking $20K to $50K range when he first saw it at a show. Its a new venture for them so who knows, maybe it will be $16K in a few years, or junk... :) (I doubt it)

I checked to see if any Denver shops have it and they don't. Their rep says they are working with one of the dealers in the area and may be coming soon! I've already started a trust fund for one and if it sounds right... ;)

If you hadn't made the statement in red I would have guessed more in the $20K to $50K range too.

You have to wonder how tables can even be in the $20K to $50K range. Even if you consider delicate machinery made for industry this seems high to me... I guess you get what people will pay. I still remember the days when a $2K table was in the stratosphere, pricewise. :D

The one Michael Fremer owns, and the name eludes me just now, with the Cobra tonearm costs $125,000! I wonder what he actually paid for it.

Continuum Audio Labs Caliburn turntable & Cobra tonearm with Castellon turntable stand
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed and third, it is accepted as self evident.
