Has anyone experienced problems with the antenna connection on the Polk XRt12 XM receiver? I have tried two different antennas and had XM resend the single, but still I get a "No Signal" message.

    Jim,

    Welcome to club polk....

You using the one that came with it or are you using an aftermarket one?

shouldnt matter. Even if its not activated it should get a signal and the preview channels.

When my XM tuner was not activated I had to call CS to refresh the unit.

I am using an after market commercial type antenna through coax. I switched to a small antenna that came with my XM Roady and it worked for a while, but now just says "Antenna" using either of them. I think it must be an internal connection problem in the unit.

you could certainly be right. I install the car ones all the time and you never have any problems with it not being activated.. The home tuners could be different.

    Jim,

Sorry for the slow response. The reason I asked about the antenna is that I have had a few issues using regular coax with correct adapter. However, the antenna that came with it has never given me any issues.

I suspect your correct that it might be an internal problem since both types of antenna's are not getting through to the reciever. Give Polk customer service a call. Great folks there and I'm sure they can help resolve the issue.

Thanks to all who tried to help. After talking with the Polk technician, I decided to purchase a refurbished unit which should ship today.

    Happy New Year to all!
