For Christmas this year and she didn't throw it at me... Heading up to Lake Mille Lacs early next week for some ice fishing. It was snowing last year too... Friggin ice augers, I have 2 of them because at any given time only one will work. Except this year, neither would work. Just as well, now I don't have to worry about using the tip ups. :D

I was in Red Lake just 2 weeks ago and we did quite well on the walleyes. Yeah those ice augers are not very dependable! Ive got a Jiffy model 30 and I have it serviced every November to insure that it will run properly for the winter. Make sure you give us a report on how you do in Mille Lacs. Good luck!
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

    That's super cool....better than tubes.

I've always wondered about the lure of ice fishing.

What do you actually do with the ice after you catch it?

    :p:p

If I bought my wife a fishing pole,I'd be sleeping out on the ice.
My idea of ice fishing is pulling up to the lake, car parked and running, listening to some tunes, coffee with some Bailey's in it, and the first person to walk off the lake with some nice fish, 5 bucks a fish and I'm done.
