Im thinking I want at least 500 watts to each tower. I had the emo xpa-1's but had to sell them due to low on cash. Now need power again. Im thinkin of rebuying them or get 2 emo xpa-2's and bridge them for 1000 watts at 8ohms. My main concern is how low in ohms to the rtia9's drop to? Also if anyone has any options on amps Im all ears as I have upgradeitis and want to biy something. or things;)

Why not buy just one good amplifier? You would never use 1000 watts anyways.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I have a good amplifier. The Emo xpa3 and I know most on this forum bash Emo but to each his own. What do you suggest. Im 90% movies and when its music its from an ipod or mp3's.
Im only wanting more because I had 2 xpa-1's, sold them to fund other things now want that power and dynamics back. The xpa3 does a great job and blows away the amo in the elite reciever. I just want more. You know how it is. Always tweaking.

I wasn't bashing it and thought you had sold your amps.....there's certainly nothing wrong with having too much power. I don't really have any suggestions based on what you're wondering. I'd like to own another Audio Research VS-110. It's one of the better tube amps I've heard....maybe you should try tubes?

I have never heard a tube. Could they handle the a9's?

You could run the RTiA9 off just about anything with 90db efficiency.
