Polk is selling refurbished RTi A9 speakers on their Polk Direct ebay store for $899 plus $135 shipping. Anyone know anything about these? Would buying a refurb not be a good idea??? They have quite a few of them posted, so I wonder if there is some sort of problem with the A9 that there would be so many refurbs. Has anyone else purchased these??? Thanks for any help!

Polk's ebay store is a great deal. My rti a5's and csi a 4 from there. They all looked brand new, not a scratch on them. I have never heard of anyone having any complaints about anything from them.

Frys has the cherry RTiA9's for $399 each.
    http://www.frys.com/product/5403269?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
    In-store only.
None of the Frys in my area had any in stock.
Same goes for the cherry A5's for $219 each.

But if anyone can pick up either for these prices it's a heck of a price.

WOW!!! I feel a lot more comfortable hearing that everyone is completely satisfied with their A9's from Polk Direct. How quick is the shipping? I live in New Jersey and believe they would be shipping from CA. The shipping charge is a bit steep, so hopefully they would get here fairly fast.

I got all my stuff through their site. The A9's did have a ding on them but nothing that affected sound or anything. Still a great deal and would say go for it. Your saying a lot of money, and I think its well worth it.

I just got a pair of RTi8's from Polk Direct, and before I opened them I looked for any sign that the boxes had been opened before, there was none. Internal packaging, manual, etc. was all perfect.

Of course the speakers were flawless! If these are refurbs, there is NO sign of it at all. Very satisfied!
