QOTD: How do you decorate your Christmass Tree?

Do you go for a traditional style, golds, reds, silvers? Or are you simplistic with lots of whites and glass? Maybe contemporary with a non-traditional color scheme? Maybe you have a shiny aluminum tree? Is it a hodgepodge of family heirloom ornaments? Do you use fruit, nuts, candy and other food? Do you use an angel or a star? Or maybe you go pre-decorated?

How do you do it?

Me, traditional and contemporary mixed. Traditional colors but matching ornaments, garland and lights. Lights are white, colors are red and gold. There is an angel on top.

I use a family heirloom ornaments. We get a new ornament every year and put it on the tree. I have an ornament for every year going back to 1978. I am now buying a new ornament for my son every year and adding it to the tree. When he moves out i will give him all his ornaments to put on his tree.

ours is pretty clean with a lot of glass silver white and red with clear lights, and most of our ornaments are my wife's hallmark baseball ornaments or stuff we picked up from Biglots and walmart.

With lots and lots of rancid meat...
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Traditional I guess. The girl had a "theme" a few years ago (predominantly blues and whites), but that dissipated to a hodge podge of ornaments, lights, etc. Reminds me of my childhood tree so I like it.

I don't, I have my duties when it comes to the damn christmas tree:

    I buy it
    I bring it home
I cut down the trunk and branches if need be
I screw it into the stand, I may even water it.

after the holidays I throw the damn thing away.

And throughout the year i complain because I keep finding those damn needles all over the place.
