I get a call today to fix a unit heater that isn't working. I set up a ladder and start to look at it. While I'm standing there I get a visitor(see pic 1,
that rats body is about 6" in length). I find that the unit has damaged wiring(pic 2). While I'm making my repairs, another rat comes scooting out the unit I'm working on. O.K.
I get the pilot lit, and realise the unit needs a belt. Just as I'm getting down from the ladder, 3 MORE rats come running out of the unit- we're now up to 5.
I replace the belt, turn the power back on, and set the thermostat.
There is an employee watching the front of the unit as I light it off....and he starts counting:eek:
15 more rats came diving out of the front this unit heater:D
They had quite the nest.;)

I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
