It was incredibly awesome at the time. They sold them at Blockbuster..or at least that's where I got mine. The problem is it would piss off my mom because the phone would ring once when it connected to someone to play with. You had to remember to turn off all the phones in the house so it wouldn't wake anyone up at 2 AM.

It was always VS mode and there were only a handful of games that worked with it, like Mortal Kombat. It's just funny thinking back to that time compared to now with XBox Live, etc.

Xband was great! I was up on the SNES Xband. We had about 13 local players, but I enjoyed going Nationwide and finding great competition all over. I played mostly Super Mario Kart. What games did you play?

For anyone unfamiliar with Xband, I have some video footage of it on my YouTube page if you'd care to see: http://www.youtube.com/xband411#p/u

Yes I do. I love my Polk Audio RM510 5.1CH High Performance Surround Sound Speaker setup that is in my living room.

I'm not here to promote a site. I happened across a person who mentioned Xband in a recently created thread. This thread is located in the "Video Games" section of Club Polk. So what exactly is the problem? There was a link in my response, but it was to a YouTube video. Not to a website that is "mine". I'm not spamming or selling anything, so I would appreciate it if you dial back the hostility.

Everyone is jumpy because we have had a lot of spammers lately who only post in the video game section and no where else. Your original post seemed too coincidental for people's taste, I'm sure.
    Welcome to the forum!

yeah, they try to up their post count in order to be able to sell in OUR flea market. thing they don't understand is that we all "get it" and don't purchase from these douchebags.

no personal hostility directed intentionally at you xband. the way you set up an account using xband as you have smells that of a person aforementioned. hopefully this doesn't describe your intentions in the least. otherwise, stick around and have fun.

    Thank you for the information.

I'm actually a long time lurker, and when I saw the post mentioning Xband, it stuck in my head and was used when I created a login name. Hope to have some good times here on this board.
