As you all know, I have set a list to buy stuff before 2004, before I have to start saving to fix up my Dad's truck. Well here is the list I have gathered.......

Adcom GFA-535II (The dude with the GFA-535 hasn't replied but once, I am giving the dude another week, if he finally replies I will mark this off my list) (100-200)
Adcom GFA-545II (150-250)
JVC XV-S500BK (DVD Player) (145.00 (counting ship.) on Crutchfield)
Polk Audio CSi40 (Aprx. 300.00 on EBay)
JVC HR-S3901 (VCR) 145.00 (counting ship.) on Crutchfield)
Other things are, S-Video cables, Banana Plugs, Audio Patch Cables (All from Ratshack)

If I can't purchase all of this by the end of this year, then it will be delayed till 2005 (the beginning of 2005 that is)

This is my To-Buy list, tell me what ya think. What do I need to change? VCR, I have heard has bad recording quality. I don't really care about recording quality, all I am looking at is reliability, picture quality, sound quality, and who could forget hook up. JVC is the only VCR in the price range with S-Video In/outputs!
Remember that all the stuff being purchased is being purchased by future reference, and not current. What I buy now, i am looking at what I will be using in the future. Note the DVD Player has progressive scan, etc.

    MX,

First ? Did you send that guy any money?

Can the jukebox cd changer, they don't have the play quality of single or a 5 spinner. You can pick up a nice Sony 333ES for the same money on Audiogon and it will do SACD too. Doesn't Panny make a S-VHS in that price range? That's my .02

F1, Nope - Didn't send the dude any money. (He didn't give me an address to send the money to, or the fact he hasn't even given me a total cost) If the JukeBox changers arn't any good, then I will keep my Yamaha Changer! lol! Eff it! lol! I was just getting tired of changing cds! lol!

Yeah Panny does, but they don't make em in Black. I want all black equipment. Silver looooooks VEWY outta place in my rig. I proved that wih this POS pioneer DVD Player!

It should be like an Audio law, all video/audio equipment except speakers over 100 bucks should be in a high gloss black finish so it will match my equipment! LOL! Or atleast offer a high gloss black faceplate to match each one of my electronics! That would be sweet, I love that Pioneer Elite look! Totally effin cool!

Why are you still up??? j/k

Sounds like the seller is a bad apple, leave him more negative feedback and report him to eBay. As for all the same color, that is a personal choice. Get the Sony, it's black and much better than the Yammie.

That's it, I'm going to bed.

I'm giving him another week to reply with an address, and total price. If he dosn't reply, then I will leave him negative feedback, and report him. F1, it may be better, but like the saying goes :: Don't replace what's not broke!:: The only reason I was going to replace it before was I was tired of changing disc!

Actually when I get it, it'll be a good what....15, 16 years old? By the way, it is in VERY good condition. I will post a pic of it. I am just getting it repainted, new windows, fix up the inside. Maybe add a subwoofer or 4!

The red truck in the background is the truck I am getting. That is my Dad's 1987 or 86 Yamaha VMax, which is currently saleing on EBay. The truck is an 1987 Nissan.

Good pickup, that thing will last you a long time if you treat it right. Why repaint it? It looks like the paint is fine on it, although I cant see too much of it. Really though, unless you plan to spend over a G for a paint shop to do the whole shebang for you, it might not be a great paint job... At least thats how it is here. Enjoy. Mike

The truck is old. However, I detail it every other week. Wax it once a month. Armoral, etc. The outside is in good condition really, if I get it repainted, I will get a very good job done, I won't skip a corner. The whole thing will be re-done. However it will be the last thing I do, if I ever do. The inside it more of my concern. I plan to fix up Inside, and put a small car audio system in it. I plan to put a 10" Subwoofer in the inside. *In the bed* I plan to put 2 or 3 18" subs! JK! I don't plan to go far in depth with car audio really.

EDIT: The inside is in fair condition. But it is a work truck, so I guess you get the picture!
