    I love thrift stores, never know what you'll find. I picked up a pair of Utah speakers from 1972 last month for $22. Excellent shape, cabinets and drivers. But after getting them home and listening to them......think I should left them in the store! :p

    I have the same player just one model below that (no output volume control for headphones). It's in my bedroom rig. I found mine at a thrift store as well. It actually sounds pretty good on it's own but has digital out so I've got mine running through a dac and now it sounds great. Congrats on a good find.

    I have one also. I got it for about 15 minutes of caulking. I think it sounds great for what it is.

    Nice! I picked up a CDC-816 ( I think ) for $60 in a stack of equipment from the thrift store.

    The amp isn't the one I got, it was a MX-830 not that MX1000u. Not bad for $60 total though eh?

    You stole that MX 830 amp. You should see what they go for on ebay. Nice pick up.

    I sold it for $250 or 300 or something... Didn't need it since I have the MX-1000u ;)

    I'm trying for something that will match my Rotel. But yeah I find crazy stuff at the thrift stores!
