I purchased this remote but cannot use it because the volume buttons only work on Polk systems. It is still brand new and unopened. Comes with manual and batteries. It looks like a great remote, but I don't need it. Info on the remote can be found in the Polk store. Does anyone need a second remote? Thanks, Jeff

    warlocks......

Universal remotes are.........um.........universal. They aren't brand specific (thus that UNIVERSAL part of the description) and if the only reason that you're looking to unload the thing is that you can't get the volume button to work with your other components, I'd check to make sure that you prgrammed it correctly. Re-check the way you programmed it......I believe that the problem you're experiencing is perhaps user error (not to offend).

I called Polk and they spoke to the designer. The remote is universal and all buttons can be learned except for volume, mute, system power and a couple of others. They are programmed only for the Polk system. I expressed my frustration that limitations aren't mentioned in the product description on the web site.
    No offense taken.

That sucks ****......How long have you had the thing? If it's been a short while, I'd **** about returning it. They can't call it Universal if some of the most basic functions can't be used for other components.........amazing......Good luck.

How much are you looking to get for it? I just want to save a few of my remotes from the abuse they are getting, namely my receiver... nice remote, but its getting all banged up. Not looking to spend too much, because I really want a pronto but cannot afford one...

    Warlocks1-
Thanks for the offer, but actually after thinking it through, I have just decided to wait. I think that I may have to start saving for my center channel and a few other audio tidbits, and it might not be wise of me to spend any extra money. Thanks again though. Mike
