I'm sure this subject has been covered a million times, but...
I'd like to hook up a Rotel RX-1050 2-channel receiver to an older Paradigm PDR 10 sub.
The Rotel doesn't have a dedicated sub output but does have bridged pre-out/main connections and a/b connections for four speakers.
Link to RX-1050 manual
The PDR-10 has a sub (low level) connection and speaker level connects.
The way I see it, I could hook the sub up a few ways
1. Splitter (a "hard" splitter like the Audioquest "Hard Y" Male to two female RCAs) on both the pre-outs and jumper to the main ins on the amp for the stereo speakers (Paradigm Titan V5), then a y cable from the splitter(s) to a sub cable to the low level connection on the sub.
2. Splitter on one channel and jumper to the main in on the amp then a sub cable hooked up to the splitter to the low level connection on the sub.
3. Speaker level connections from the "B" outputs on the Rotel to the Speaker level connects on the sub.
4. Speaker level connects with 2 sets of wires on the "A" outputs on the Rotel to the speaker level connects on the sub.
5. Sell the Rotel and buy a receiver with a proper sub output.
Thanks in advance.
