Sweet, maybe we could exchange recipes. Although I will confess its not my recipe. Its one from a restaurant I used to like to frequent in Florida.

Hey Jerry, I will be going to Tyler Acoustics to go pick up my speakers after Christmas, but before New Year's. The trailer will be in use, so no worry about rain, snow, adverse weather or theft.

He's located in Owensboro, KY. If Troy can get them to me, I might be able to meet up with you somewhere along the way. I'll just have to make a scenic detour.

Troy and Jerry, I just got off the phone with Ty and told him I will be heading down most likely on the 27th. PM me both of your phone numbers please as I hate coordinating things like this through PM's.

    The Polk train lives on.....

Let me tell you a little something about our friend Troy and CP. I finally meet up with him [Thanks Uncle Sam] at this year's Polkfest after all these years of conversations here and on another forum. When he learns that I was currently without audio, what does he do?

He offers to let me borrow these speakers until I got my new one's. That right there was unexpected and in the true spirit of a Polkie. I didn't take him up on his offer because I knew that without sound, I would have a greater incentive to do what I had to do to get my new speakers but I will say this. My hat's off to Troy for even offering.

That said, karma's a **** :D. I get to help out two of my buddies and pick up my new speakers. Schhwwaiiiiiiing! Two birds with one stone.

    Tom,

Jerry is going to come to Charleston to pick these up in Jan or Feb.....but, I'm humbled that you volunteered to do that.

If I made that offer, I must have been into the whiskey heavier than I thought! ;) Nah, what's a pair of 2.3tl's between fellow polkies. I know if I was in the same boat, there would be a bunch of you guys making the same offers.....that's the cool thing about this place.

Lastly, on the one hand, I feel like I'm losing 2 children (and disappointing F1 greatly)....but Jerry sounded as excited as a puppy with two peters about getting them and THAT is cool. I'm glad that they are going to be used, loved and appreciated.
