Power envelope?

I'm not experienced in this. I saw this online...it's listed at about 100 watts, but has something called power envelope, so for short term power, it goes a lot higher. Can someone explain this? I saw two being sold locally as a pair, and a friend of mine was looking for something like this. They would be rather cheap I think. Thoughts?

    That's just NAD's term for dynamic headroom. Nothing special.
