It's already Saturday so I better get this started. I spoke with Mark and I can't express my gratitude in words; I'm speechless.

I will say, that this hobby tends to get one focused in the other direction sometimes, mired in the gear if you will; at least I have been due to some attempted mods and system changes as of late.

Last night I came home before the rest of the family and realized the stereo hadn't been on in 3 days (my wife is very pregnant and we have 3 year old so busy...busy)....anyway, I put something on and it just sounded so good. Tired as I was, I started puttering around the house, motivated, and started making dinner, and cracked a cold one. A great start to a Friday night. Then I got a PM from Mark.

I'm on KARMA-OVERLOAD so I need to vent:

Monday 12 NOON, is the deadline for this extended KARMA-THON. My 3 year old will draw from a hat, and the chosen will receive a pair of Telefunken 12AX7 ribbed plates that test NOS. I know not all of you can use tubes (but you should ; ) ONLY CATCH IS PLEASE TRY TO POST A GREAT TUNE YOU"VE HEARD RECENTLY.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Let's all take a moment to recognize Mark AND Polk for their generous contribution.

P.S. Apparently none of you saw the fine print, but Mark has informed me that Polk will be stopping by in Jan. to brand our new daughter with a Polk bar-code!

    Ah missed the great tune part.

    Ive been digging on Dan Auerbach's new cd, the track "Whisper Words" is phenomenal.

    The whole cd has a nice 70's rock feel to it, yet doesnt sound old, good stuff.
