IC cable question

Ok, so I bought an Adcom 535 from Ron, considering my equipment, what cables would benefit me most. Please do not suggest $$$$$$ cables as thats not gonna fly with the wife.

What are you currently using for cables?

I dont have the Adcom in hand yet, its on its way. As far as speaker wire 16ga monoprice and IC's for my other stuff is nothing more than heavy duty Rat Shack cables. I guess better than what the manufactures give you and crappy as far as audiophile grade.

To get your feet wet, i'd say either Blue Jeans cables or Audioquest Sidewinders.

How many sets are you needing? I have some Audioquest Scarlet Vipers, either 2 or 4 sets depending on what dpowell wants to do with the sets i loaned him, that i'll be wanting to move.

Blue Jean cables or Signal cables are a good, inexpensive alternative.
Signal cable does give a Polk Forum discount (of some sort)

What lengths do you need? I have a 0.5m and a 1.5m pair right now, got a 1.5m and a 2m pair out on loan.

So Ben, how much are you selling the Vipers for?

For comparison, when checking AQ against BJC, 1.5m = 4.9213ft = 5ft, since they only sell in even 6in increments.

the cheapest BJC is the LC-1 @ $36.50 for a 5ft cable. The most expensive is the Belden 1505F @ $44 for a 5ft.

Sorry I have not compared the AQ vs the BJC yet (I am getting some 1505's for my DVD-audio, so I will know later.

Audio Advisor has the "Blue Thunder" (their private custom cable) for $44 for 1.5m
Or the AQ sidewinders for $75 for 1.5m

BTW if you buy cables from CL, definately check them to make sure they work before you buy.

I'm not sure yet how much i'll sell them for. I paid $150 for all 4 pairs, so that's what i'd like to get back out of them. If i'm like $10-$20 short, no harm no foul, was worth that for me to see how they compared against the Sidewinders.

Actually... i'll have to re-measure. Now i'm thinking i have a 0.5m, two 2m, and a 3m pair. I do remember thinking that they were longer than i thought.
