So - I've been remodeling the HT over the past year and a half, which involved moving stuff around and swapping gear. Since I'm pretty much finished with my 2 Channel setup I decided to do some work on the HT.

Of course you've got to have good power to go along with the gear, so here are the dedicated circuits:

Also, looking for advice on tweaks, speaker placement and room treatments. Any ideas on what to use?

I tried a Monster power conditioner and it made the sound WORSE, so I'm not sure what to change next:

I am a very big fan of integra/onkyo sound. Amp wise I went through a few and simply love the Anthem Statement. I am in no way a pro or know much about specs. I just like what I hear.

I can recommend a few things off the bat...

For your HT setup, sound treatments!

For your 2-channel rig, you can start by getting a dedicated pre and amp. Btw, were you the one asking about R15's for a 2 channel setup? I'm still against it, they blow for any critical listening.

Grab yourself some LSi's if you want to stay with Polk ;)

I just got the R15's and hooked them up in the 2 channel system with the Definitives as stands. Overall, they sounded good and were very easy to listen to. However, the Definitive BP10B were better than the Polk R15's. They weren't bad though - the sound quality was decent.

For the HT rig, there isn't much I can do about the mirror wall and ceiling. I can add some carpeting and move the furniture around (which I did already). What would be best for a room like that?

I think so, definitivetechs mythos line of speakers are a closer match to the LSI from polk.

    LSI>sub mythos

    Mythos>LSI

Thanks. I think my next speaker will be the DefTech BP700xSC series, simply because I like the 10B's so much.

I'm also looking at amps from Outlaw, Parasound, and B&K.

Haven't heard this one yet. A local store used to carry Anthem amps, just couldn't afford it then. I think they were made by Paradigm back then.

Any other ideas? Still looking to move things around to find the best room placement.

I believe that it's possible to get big gains by just rearranging the equipment.
