... i strolled back in figureing one of these days the little red tag will be lifted... mighta took a week or two but eventually.

... then i see this wondrous LOCK on my post -- oh, daddy justin was afraid the big bad me was going to cause a riot?

funny thing is -- i agree w/ you justin, you should not have to be the babysitter. you have better things to do.

yet i can't recall the last time there was a "fight" in this particular forum... maybe the rest of club polk, but the last time anyone went at it was myself and the guy you banned. in fact, what happened was, one ugly thread later (which by the way was half filled with good quality conversation about a box's performance and the such, so it wasn't a total loss) we all end up getting along like one big happy bunch. there's a bit of mutual respect u get for someone after u go at it with them and find that whether you disagree or agree is irrelevant to the fact that the person you're talking to is an intelligent human being who has good ideas to contribute.

so i actually went and read the commandments thoroughly... and the only ones i can see him and i breaking are
- thou shalt honor polk --> we both "honor" old polk and respect the current model line even though we dont "honor" the current model line.
- brand bashing --> romping on JL is no sin.

he respects the newbies.... he answers some of the same questions over and over but that is PART of respecting the newbies or anyone else who asks a Q. nobody wnats to surf through 500 posts to find somehting relevant.

and thom -- two things.

1- polk customer service isn't where most people want to go for car design help. Unless somebody gets ahold of you yourself or Kim, then they end up talking to a machine or a desk guy, which there's nothin wrong w/ desk guys, but the fact is people who are hackign at their car(S) everyday are more willing to sit down and write a long **** reply with 20 different scenarios than someone who's got a job to do and has other people on the line on hold or what not. it's the same way with most companies.... if i call ID and dont get ahold of Fred or Matt, I might as well stick my finger in a light socket and fall over dead.
2- fresh ideas... or just a difft perspective -- i could sit there and bother you people all day long... and you'd get damn well sick of me... or i can come in here and spout off and ask q's or whatever... the difference is.. here.. i'm not bothering anyone... nor is John. yes u have a full staff over there, but there is no replacement for having 10 people (including or not including a polk rep) comment on your car at once instead of one person. i mean think about the whole **** fit we had over the GNX / DX --- you guys say its a replacement.. all of polk-ness is gonna say its a replacement, everyone i talked to there on the phone said it was... well... i and a lot of other people disagree. its good for people buying the product to know what everyone who's using this stuff is thinking.

anyway -- keep your locks, keep your blocks... why dont u just throw a red tag on me so i dont have to even bother reading this crap anymore.

and as far as being a forum -****?? well.... ya maybe i do come in here a lot... but a) most of the time i'm right, not wrong... and b) most of the time this is how i just choose to spend an hour or so a day kickin back relaxing and de-stressing. Some people watch sitcoms, others smoke a joint, i post on a forum.. sue me. fact is -- if some nit-wit child like losers hadn't decided that it was "their" forum and wanted more than life to get rid of somebody who bothered them, insisting that they knew more about his life than he did... then he'd never be banned.

"Polk Audio Forums -- if you aren't one of the clique, get the hell out."

Maybe I should just mail my 16 polk speakers back to you guys cuz we're all just not welcome here.

I'd almost rather use headphones at this point.

This is a car audio forum. That's it. I locked the thread because you need to move on (the same reason THIS thread is locked). I really would rather not discuss in detail why, but he posted a series of inappropriate message for a public forum. You may see that thread in the "Hall of Shame" forum, although, I have edited the language.

This forum is not the place to complain, it's for education and fun. You got a problem? Email me DIRECT: webmaster@polkaudio.com

Please move on. Please. I'm begging. Move on. Look, you're in the "On the Move" forum.

    Thanks,

    ~Justin

*Kim IS customer service, and he's seen many more (sorry Kim) years of retail car audio sales and installation than I. And I suck at explaining stuff to people, so they're better off talking to Kim. You call ID and talk to them, right? It's better than waiting on a reply to an e- mail (I'm assuming they don't spend money on a forum to listen to people ****), I'd bet. Matt moderates a forum over at Carsound and very rarely posts. If I had a question for him I'd rather handle it by phone than post there.

*So do you want us to post or not? I'm not getting the point. I always stay out of the "what sub's best?" threads, and any others of that sort. I install (among other things), and we've got two other guys that install (and one is new) so we've got our hands full. I try to check the forum on a regular basis but most of the time it's all discussions between a few people so I quickly lose interest, and check the forum less and less often.

*I think you're giving yourself too much credit.

*So the forum is more important to you than the product? Damn, we should stop making speakers and just keep the forum up.
