Just received my new laptop and for the life of me can not figure out how to setup my email account. When I go to the toolbar at the top of the screen where it shows email & chat the only option i have is chat. Do I have to download a program to receive my email. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 7 does NOT come with e-mail client software. You'll have to use their Windows Live service or download something like Thunderbird.

Dang you beat me to it.

They removed a few key features from Windows7 like windows mail, ultimate extras, etc.

Live mail is exactly the same as windows mail in usage though, i had both running and functionally they are the same. no replacement for outlook or thunderbird though.
