Best game I never finished, hell I haven't gotten past the second act, but I still like the story line and how simple it is to play. The problem I have is where to put skill points and putting armor and weapon combos that works well with the skills that I have. Anybody got any tips or tricks they want to share?

I haven't played it in a couple years, but it's one of those games I keep nearby for a quick install and play.

Haven't played it in years as well, but the funny thing is I've wanted to grab a copy just to play again. I always stuck with either a mage was it or the necromancer. The added characters for the expansion were pretty lame imo.

If you want to mess around with talents/etc. without worrying about them being permanently gone why don't you copy the save file (with your points unused) and save it elsewhere. Place those points wherever you'd wish, and if you don't like the way it's setup then just close the game, take the file you copied and replace the existing one. When you log in you'll see your points are unused, keep doing it until you find what works best for you!

Yea you can play online, I remember beating the crap out of the legit players......you got their 'ears' as a trophy and half their gold. Also, that was a quick/easy way of doubling your cash.

Drop all your gold, log off, replace character file, log on and get back the gold you dropped. Geez I should shut up now lol :o

After I beat Diablo 2 a few times, I was turned on to a game called Titan Quest. It plays almost the same as Diablo 2, but has updated graphics and was supposedly co-made by one of the old Diable designers. If you check out the new in-game videos of Diablo 3, Titan Quest looks similar. The bottom line is it's a fantastic game.

FYI: Diablo 3 is still in the works, but looks AWESOME.

I played both the Titan Quest games....very good.

I think I sold my Diablo guys! Damn! I'll see if I can find it on Half.com or in the bargain bin. Give me a couple days and we'll start playing.

It's such a re-playable game that it hasn't lost much of it's appeal through the years.

We just bought the boxset at Wally World for only $9.00. The kids love the game. For some reason they are on a retro gaming thing right now. They dug out all my old PC games the other week and have been non-stop playing. Giving the xbox and PS's a break. The only drawback is they are now yelling at eachother throughout the house rather than in just one room. I watched some of the action the other night and I have to say it did bring back some memories. The only thing different is I used to play these games with a 15"-17" monitor. They are playing with large LCD TV's as computer monitors that are mounted on the wall in their bedrooms.
