Is anyone using RM 8 's for a home stereo?
I have space limits and would consider RM8 w/ a sub

How about a Polk surround bar SDA instant home theater...see product menu above. A single bar placed beneath or above your TV and a matching sub...no wires.

I have 4 rm8's and would suggest against them for a home stereo. For HT they really are not to bad for how small they are, but for music you need something else. They only play down to 120hz, and you really don't want your sub to play that high. Why not get some of the RTi A3's instead off of polk direct. They would be much better sounding then the small rm8's. But if you really need something as small as the rm8's then they will probably surprise you with their sound for how small they are.
Denon 1909, want to upgrade for pre outs
    Fronts-polk RTi A5
    center-polk CSi A4
    Sides Polk FXi A6
    rears- polk rm8's
    sub-SVS pb-13 ultra
    Blue ray-ps3
    Panasonic plasma 50 inch
Buttkicker(don't use or need it anymore since getting the Ultra)

I personally don't think this is a really good option for stereo music. I own the SB42 and out of curiosity I pushed some music through using my PSW110 and I wasn't too impress about the end result. Small drivers along with being encased into the same enclosure... I can't see good stereo sound coming out of that.

+1, I own/use RM10s, RM20s and SB42 (all use the same drivers) and they are decent for HT use in small room but music? Nah... I agree that RTi A3 would be a good option. In fact I've noticed decent pricing for the refurbs on the Polk direct site yesterday evening.

    Cheers!
