ok my bad. I re-read my previous posts and they didn't make much sense. I assumed his next upgrade will be "that piece" that will be better than anything he owned so far and most likely the most expensive stuff. I was thinking he's going into the 10k+ and that's it, he doesn't want to deal with swapping again.
So even with seperates, it's probably a better idea to stick to one company when dealing with super expensive stuff. So yeah, int is a great choice.
