Well I'm done with this thread, since all of you want to flex your e-muscles with criticisms and name calling when I haven't attacked any of you. I guess you just can't have a mature conversation online.

    HAHA!

You say stupid things like "I just don't see what people can have against him," and "Ah, another Favre hater...I will always fail to see how some people disrespect a man who has done so much and has such a passion for what he does," and now you're all upset because folks told you why they don't have much respect for him? Why the hell did you even post, then?

Then you say "No, Favre does not ask for it...players like Ochocinco ask for it, and no one in their right mind would say Favre craves media attention like players like Chad Ochocinco do."

What, all the waffling about will I or won't I come back, and then saying he's retired for good...only long enough for training camp to go by and then he magically signs with the Vikings? Funny stuff! You're either a total idiot or just straight up blinded in your hero worship.

Granted, there are a few people posting in this thread who are fans of teams that were Packers rivals forever who won't admit he's one of the best QBs of all time and they've always hated him. They're wrong about the latter. He is a great QB and is having a great year. Tom Brady is a great QB, too, and I hate the Patriots with a passion. I'm not about to ignore reality just because the guys don't play for my team.

I'm sure you'll ignore this post, though, because it's the reality of why many people are sick and tired of seeing his face. I myself would care a lot less if I wasn't a Packers fan, I admit that.

Favre is an a-hole. I know way too many people he has been a dick to around here. If it was an isolated report, I'd be skeptical. But it's consistantly "I met him one time at ____ and he is a dick".
Great QB no doubt, but not a very nice person under all that ego.

Farve may be an A$$hole, but at least he's my A$$HOLE:D....

I never liked Farve either, and still don't, but he is a Viking and I will support my team. Yes, he is a selfish, glory seeking ****. That said, the guy can still play football with the best of them, and I cannot fault the ownership and Brad Childress for going after him the way they did. My hope has always been that he is able to impart his knowledge and teach some skills to TJ and the quarterbacks The Vikings are counting on for the future.

I gotta agree he is having a great year and I don't fault the Vikings for making a power move to get him. I think the Vikes are playing pretty well and I would imagine it will be a good game when they meet the Saints.

Having said all that, I am no Viking fan and I especially enjoy watching Favre take a clobbering. It just hasn't happened that much this year ;)

Brett Favre is God's gift to the NFL. Get over it. He is truly a living legend.
He is simply the greatest 40 year old athlete in the world and doesn't cheat on his wife!
    That's right I said it!

He probably hasn't since the Vicodin/Alcohol problem came to a head and he turned his life around (amazing he was able to, and a credit to him), but he used to cheat on his wife all the time. He would leave for days at a time on benders with Frank Winters and Mark Chmura.

No secret in this neck of the woods.

Weren't there times in days gone by where the police in Green Bay would drop him off at the door of his home rather that arrest him for DUI? Seems I heard that from somewhere...

Still hurt that he wanted so badly to play for a winner than a team on their way down? It is about winning, is it not? At 40 and having such a great career why should he settle for GB?

I know as a Packer fan you are just sour and cannot stand him and the Vikings winning while your Packers aren´t doing that great. Just get over it. At least Jstas is disliking him for the real reasons, just as I dislike the Cowboys for real reasons.
