I was never really an iPhone fan until their last offering. Yes, it had some cool features...but it didnt have basic features that I had on a phone 4 years ago....like video or MMS. Then when it got some features, it still didnt run 3G. They finally came out with the 3GS which is what shouldve come out in the first place.

People would always say how no one has a phone that competes with the iPhone...and i would just think to myself...besides apps, my phone does more than the iPhone and its a couple years older...whatever.

I've been considering the new iPhone because its finally meets my minimum requirements for a phone...and has a really cool interface with apps. And theres ways to get around it being 'AT&T only'....but we will see what the google phone brings to the table.

I was also thinking about t-mobile. I want to pick a carrier thats going to meet my needs for a really long time...and t-mobile it seems is on there way to the top. Guess we'll see when the time comes.

Stay away from the iphone yeah its cool looking has cool apps, cool interface.
but no video pictures look like crap, but to actually use as a phone to talk on it sucks. dropped calls, cant here either way, locks up. Gave my back after a week, Droid smokes the iphone in every way just my 2 cents.

As the article mentions, the phone is supposed to be untethered. iow, any carrier, and probably cheaper for the features, since Google likes to mine user data.

It was just my opinion of it in shortened form. Sorry I didnt write a 5 page review on why I dont like the iphone there are much better phones out there. I have a samsung behold and love it not 1 problem with it. Battery will last me 3 to 5 days. again my opinion good phone unless you want to use it as a phone. Next time I will be sure to keep my opinions to myself.:D

It's not the iPhone that sucks, it's the service from AT & T.

Anyways, getting a Droid from Verizon next. I have been with them for a very long time and no problems.

The HTC phone looks like a candidate for my next phone, and it looks to be rugged enough to withstand the environments where I take my phone (ie farm, hunting, camping, shop). That's why I love my G'Zone Boulder from VZW, the thing is pretty rugged and waterproof! The problem is that all of our Verizon stores talk trash about the HTC phone and tell you that you need to get the Motorola Droid, which doesn't appear to have as good of build quality.

I'm a T-mobile'er for life. I've had Sprint and AT&T and won't switch back if the service was free. My entire family has Verizon and around here, nothing but dropped calls unless it's VZW to VZW. Screw that. I've never dropped a call on my T-mobile service and now that I have an iPhone on it, I'm happy as a pig in ****. :) I'm also not paying for data service because everywhere I go, I have wifi set up so why pay the extra bucks? $60 a month and I have full phone capabilities. Yeah i can't search the web at a restaurant but oh well. I know my town well enough I don't need maps on the fly so I'm good. I would love to try an Android phone out for more than a few minutes playing with my friends... so if this new one is available on T-mobile for cheap, I might be down.
Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

T-Mobile owes their existence to Sprint PCS in many markets since that's who built the network. By default you have to love Sprint as well :D

Really need a cost-efficient phone with droid/blackberry features for Verizon.

For people in business areas like me who don't make a lot of extra money, it's hard to justify spending $200+ on the Droid.

Speaking from experience I can honestly say that the Android based phones are FAR more useful and powerful than the iPhone. I currently have both and iPhone 3GS (Business), and an HTC Hero (Personal). I had no idea how weak, and limited the iPhone was until I got my Hero. The Android OS is just plain awesome. Plus the UI from HTC is insanely customizable. Now I honestly only use the iPhone to take calls. Everything else: calender, to-do list, social networking, browsing, etc. is all better on the Hero. On top of that it's far cheaper. With Sprint I'm getting 3 lines w/ 1500 shared minutes, unlimited data, and text for $135 per month. Plus I get unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling regardless of the other person's carrier, and nights and weekends start at 7PM. So basically I barely even touch my 1500 minutes.

For anybody in the market, you owe it to yourself to check out the offerings from Android.

I have Fav 5, 300 anytime, unlimited text, and i pay $66 including tax and crap. So for $4 more you get unlimited data?

This sucks, too... because i broke my phone last night, and i have to go get a new one, and i dont' have the money to get a decent phone right now, so i'm goign to end up paying full price for a good one later. ARGGGGGG

Yup. Pretty much. Thats what they did for me :)

Dont think they offer it anymore cuz everyone with unlocked iPhones were taking advantage of it. They had a 19.99 Unlimited text/data plan. You just called and said you bought used phone XXXX and want XXXX and bam.

I hardly talk on the phone and when i do its with the 5 people i have. Cant beat it if you ask me.

Sorry about the phone. Im still hating not using my iPhone but will just have to wait a lil bit longer for another phone.
