New RTi A9s!

I acquired a pair of the cherry-veneered RTi A9s from Fry's Electronics last week for $399 each! I simply could not believe the price for these nor why Fry's is closing them out.
I am driving them with a Rotel RB981 amp (130 wpc) and they are breaking in well. I have a Definitive Technology powered sub-woofer that balances the bass off nicely.
My only disappointment is learning that they are made in China.:(
So my question is around bi-amping these speakers...anyone out there doing that and are you happy with that? Or is anyone bi-wiring them?

Oops...I'm still "married" to my old Large Advents. I meant cherry and have corrected the entry.

Congrats on getting such a sweet deal. You'll love em'. Throw more power at them and you will love them even more. As far as made in China goes... isn't everything?
I just have mine single wired with an Emo XPA-3 driving them at 200WPC. Sounds great to me for now. But I would still like to go up to a XPA-2 (250WPC) or even a pair of XPA-1's (500WPC). -
ls7z06, I have to say looking at your setup...sweet! I want to have a similar system when I grow up :-)

Congrat's on the a9's! I would have bought at least 2 or 3 pair's at that price! lol
I have tried the a9's with pretty much all the wiring combo's you can try!
First was 16g Rocketfish with the stock jumper plate's, then i removed/replaced the jumper plate's with same Rocketfish wire and powered by my AVR, this sounded pretty good TBH! I actually noticed a pretty sweet improvement when i yanked the jumper plate's
I then later took hold of an Emotiva xpa5 and built a set of bi-wire cable's using some Canare 4s11 (the build thread is in the DIY section in case you're interested) and this was of course another step up, a BIG step up
Just this past weekend i finished installing a pair of Emotiva xpa1's and am currently running a bi-amp setup using the same Canare 4s11 cable, the setup now truly sound's awesome! I never would have thought that the xpa1's would sound that much better but they truly do, praise jeesus!
Since i have some extra cable still leftover after all this i think i'm gonna run another set to each speaker and see how it sound's, right now i just wanna enjoy the sweetness for a few day'sMedia Room 7.1

They are great speakers and for that price new you can't go wrong. I wouldn't worry about the China thing, it really doesn't take away from them being great speakers. I have had no problems with mine and Polk's CS is great so even if you would run into a problem give em a call and they will help you out no problem.

ya i don't know why some people squak about stuff being made in China, i mean where the heck have they been for the last 30 year's? Damn near everything is made in China! lolMedia Room 7.1
