Infrared sensor blocked by Soundbar360

I installed my new Soundbar 360 on its stand at the bottom of my TV (Samsung LN-S5296D) which is on top of a console (mounted on its base and not the wall). The Soundbar blocks the IR sensor for the remote control and can't use the RC to access TV functions. The TV does not have a plug to connect an IR extender.
Is there a device that would extend the reach of the IR reception by just a few inches? I thought perhaps of a lens or just a very simple IR repeater for just 2 or 3 inches.
