1.1 Would no longer be local for them.
1.2 Would now be local for them.
1.3 Depends on why it was free in the first place. Most cell phones plans I think nowadays have US long distance included. If that was the reason, it will still be free. If you don't have free long distance, and you get if free because of mobile-to-mobile, favorites, etc. it will no longer be free. I think that answers the question anyways.
Billing rates for google voice calls here(US is free):

2.0 Exactly as you said.
As far as 1.3 went, I meant if we had free mobile to mobile through t-mobile. So I will get charged for those minutes using my GV#. Good to know.Google won't charge them. Whoever provides their phone service might charge for whatever it would normally charge to call a phone number with your GV area code.
that makes more sense.
Thanks for clearing up all my questions guys.

Seriously though, if your parents are still paying long distance, they need to find a phone service from sometime after 1980.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

So, I'm finding myself in a position where having a Google Voice account would be very handy for me. I made requests for one thru them months ago, and never heard back. Any Polkies spare me one?
