I'm interested in these, but wondering if the 6DJ8's would make a difference at all because they'll be going in my Tube/hybrid amp since I'm already using a tubed preamp.

Interesting, this actually makes sense to me. I bought some amps and then sold them (wish I still had them), and the guy I bought them from ended up buying them back from the guy I sold them to. He emailed me tonight asking about the black side panels which are missing (rosewood installed now), and I know I sent them....anyway. I thought you might be him for a second : )

Did you do a google search for 6J1 or check www.tubesasylum.com

Many forums like headfi.org; audiokarma.org, etc, have several threads discussing this tube buffer with all kinds of info. You have to spend some time reading and digging, but it's amazing the info you'll find.

I was practially a tube noob 6 months ago, now I could probably write a book but I have spent a lot of time doing research and reading the various forums and info available out there from everywhere.

Yeah, i've got some reading to do. Mike gave me a few nice links in my thread as well, just haven't had the time to really sit down quite yet and burn through them. I should be able to get to that tonite. I have a feeling i'll just be grabbing some M8100s with the money i got from selling off my Sidewinders. Sorry bout that.

These are singles. Numbers represent each section of the tube; percentage of NOS spec.

I do have another matching 6922 Amperex to the one listed that tests 100/100, but only one CBS 7729. Sorry for any confusion!
