Need some prayers for my little Woobug

Her name is Lily but I call her Woobug. Went into surgery Monday to get stones removed from her bladder. They removed 3 stones. All of them being at least 3/4 of an inch in diameter:eek:. She's only 6 lbs. All seemed fine at first, but she started to go downhill. Took her to the vet again today. Her bladder had a hole in it. The urine was filling up her insides (very serious). Emergency surgery and the Vet is taking her home for the night. The wife and I are worried to death. Thanks.

Gooooooooooooo Woobug! Hope she comes through with flying colors.

Thanks for the support. From what the vet tells us, the hole was caused by a "dead" spot on the bladder. The dead spot was caused by the stones. Apparently the vet didn't see it during the first operation. I'll keep you informed. Thanks again.

Hang in there, Woobug! Heal quickly and well.

Best wishes for you and Woobug! My small dog had stone/crystal problems until he was put on a special food made by Royal Canin, and also cranberry capsules which acidify the urine and prevent future stones. You might ask your vet about doing the same thing.Good Luck !!!:)

Little update.:( Woo made it through her 2nd surgery. Unfortunatly she's seems to be taking a turn for the worse. Still has fluid comming out of her incision. They don't know if it's urine or the saline used to flush her insides out. Also another problem has arose. Her kidneys are working so hard that they are starting to shut down. Everything depends on the bladder's ability to heal itself. She's staying the night at the vet's again. The type of stones that she had she didn't require a special diet. The wife and I are both a mess, but we're keeping positive. BTW, she's only 2 1/2 years old.

Hang in there, we'll keep praying.

WOO is healthy and back home. Just got back from the Med Vet hospital in Columbus. She's home and full of spit and vinegar. Let me thank everyone for their support and prayers. Here's what happened.
Friday was really tough. She was very ill. Fluid was leaking from her incision, wouldn't eat, and vomiting. Saturday morning my wife said that she was going to call the vet and get Lily from her.(She had kept her overnight) We picked her up and drove to the Med vet Hospital. This is the place to take a sick pet. Just awesome.
They took her right away, put her on oxygen and fluids. They put a dye in her bladder and it showed a leak somewhere. And the bloodcount had been so high that they were almost sure that her kidneys had shut down. But after putting in a catheter to relieve the fluids and taking another blood test, the blood count went down. We then decided to go ahead with the surgery(3d one in 7 days) Bladder wasn't dead (they feared this too). Everything went great. I need to get pet insurance. This little **** cost me (2) SVS Ultra13 subwoofers:eek:. Well worth it. She better live a long time.:D Thanks again for the support -
Glad to hear she's doing fine. For some reason I initially read that as "This little **** cost me (2) SUV's"!!!!!!
Actually, if it was only (2) SVS's it wasn't that bad._________________________________________________
